The Kerala situation has been terribly bad in the last week, due to heavy
rains. Some called it the heaviest rains witnessed in a century!

Weather disturbances seem to be getting only more extreme.

Much of the 'national' media has been acting as if the issue doesn't exist,
while reports of this have even surfaced in Canada. Justin Trudeau has even
tweeted his concern.

Faye D'Souza, a high-profile and articulate Indian news anchor of Mirror
Now (she was speaking a few sentences of Kannada, so I presume she's
Mangalorean) has done a good job, including on this programme:
